Polaris industries has decided that MEXICO is the place to be. In light of the fact that we have just been insulted
overtly by the Mexican president and inundated by
Have you checked your health insurance policy lately? Well, maybe its time you should. Some carriers are refusing to
cover inherently dangerous or risky behavior, and usually it is spelled out in the policy. There is an ongoing case in
Illinois where the insurance company is refusing to pay for injuries sustained in an ATV accident due to her policy stating
it won't pay for injuries "sustained while engaged in a hazardous hobby or activity. That is defined in the
policy as "an activity which is characterized by a constant threat of danger or risk of bodily harm." Check your policy. The Blueribbon Coalition has filed another lawsuit, concerning road de-commissioning and public access in Northern CA. Once
again they have to go to court to protect the rights of public access on our lands. The suit alleges that the NFS and contractors
specifically went in and decommissioned roads without permit and during a closed season, creating an environmental disaster of runoff,
something they blame us for. That is just one aspect of the suit, you can get the actual suit here. The CA desert is now under fire restrictions! Yes that is correct. Due to the large amount of rain we are now under fire restrictions.
This means, no fires, barbecues, stoves, lantern, etc. Without the purchase of a permit!! Hmm... another permit for them to steal more money
with. BLM warns that "While the BLM appreciates the public's cooperation, non-compliance results in serious penalties by law. Any person convicted
of knowingly/willfully violating these fire restrictions can be fined up to $1,000, receive up to 12 months imprisonment, or both. That person also
is liable for the damages and suppression cost of the wildfire." WOW!!!
That's our government Gestapo! See the fire restriction map
here.
Mexican drugs and gangs coming over the border, Polaris is closing
a plant in Wisconsin and.... hey.... VIVA LA MEXICO.. for Polaris. "Polaris said the realignment allows it to invest
in painting, welding and assembly operations by outsourcing certain “nonstrategic” component manufacturing processes.
Polaris expects the Mexico facility to maintain quality standards while improving on-time delivery to customers, and
providing savings in logistical and production costs." Guess we, in the USA are not good enough to do that anymore.
KEEP A WATCHFUL EYE
Just a little reminder to keep a watchful eye out for any shenanigans going on in your local area. With all the new trail
designations
and closures and land grabs that seem to occur on a daily basis in our fair state, it is almost
imperative that
you
keep a
watchful eye. We have had the closure of Clear Creek. The attempted closure of Carnegie. Every time it spits a little rain for an
hour, the ride areas all shut down to "Protect the trails" Then they remain close for 3 days beyond any measurable precipitation.
Ridiculous. They skew the facts to fit their means and use every ounce of energy they have to try to classify us as a hazard.
We have a few friends in the Blueribbon and Corva but without the change in our government, their effects are minimal. So, if you
hear of any new issues coming up in your local ride area, of meetings going on that would effect us, please take the time to go and
let your voice be heard. Without you, we are a very silent majority. Post any news in our forum, take the time to review your
area. But most of all, Get involved, Stay involved!
what's that bear on?
My, my, my...... Yes sir that wacky bear is still at it
and going for it with gusto! Take a look at the picture
below. Notice the misspell of the word forest? Unless
they
are renaming the entity of the forest to that of a
living being born of Mother earth, hence the name
Forrest. I used to know a guy named Forrest..... nice
guy. Would never use the language depicted in the image
at left. Well I bring, dredge and steam a little over
this and have it up again to remind you that the image
tells it all. That's, how the activists on the other
side feel about everyone except themselves. That only
they can be the stewards of the forest, and do anything
they please. Well, its our forest too, and our fight
will never end. Look at Clear Creek and what they have
done there. Not only have they closed it down, they have
Illegally gone in with dozers and under the guise of
"trail restoration" without the proper permits, in the
wet weather when no-one can enter, destroyed trails,
roads and overcrossings to hamper any future use. Well,
that's just not right. Just like those Smokey the bear
commercials. Remember those? Only ATV's cause wildfires?
Well, if you remember, they re-canted those ads after
the uproar and the facts that not one wildfire was
documented from those hazardous ATV's. It's usually a
careless camper. But don't think for a moment those ads
are gone. They ARE NOT! I have seen them on television
still and hear them on the radio at least once or twice
a week. And the NFS said they were "not involved" in the
production of those ads. Well, at the end of those ads
it is declared that the Ad council, NFS and the National
assn. of State forests. So, as usual, the lies continue
and expand. So keep a wary eye and whenever and wherever
you can, contact your representatives to stop further
land grabs and closures. Our future depends on it.

WORCS ROUND SIXCahuilla Creek MX in Anza CA hosted round six of the WORCS Atv Championship Series. With water being an issue in the Saturday classes they came up with a plan that led to a better and less dusty Sunday. With at least 6 Racers from this site at the championship race over the weekend, it made for an exciting and fun weekend for those in attendance. The visible MX portion of the track looked extremely fun and the off-road being mostly single width and dusty. Some great jumps to watch too.
Kevin Carinalli #771 did well this weekend bringing home two 2nd places in 30b and open b. This also leaves #771 2nd in the series points in both classes! Mark Hays #672 did well again, with a third place in 30b and a 10th in production b. Mark is currently holding 1st in points in 30b and 8th in production B. Way to go Mark! Heather Carinalli #248 was riding hard this weekend bringing in a 3rd in open c and an 2nd in women c to keep her first place in the series points intact in women C. She is also 3rd in points in open C! Kyle #77Y Pulled 2nd in shifter open and 6th in shifter open sport. He is currently in 2nd in points in shifter open sport and 4th in shifter open. Great job!
In Production A Keith Carinalli #131 pulled 11th for the day, putting him tight in 3rd in the points chase. In the Pro, Pro-Am race, the heat was on with high temperatures coupled with mud, making the quads run on the hot side. James Rossi #917 had a decent start but lap 3 sent him off the course into the brush costing him valuable time. Lap 6 ended the race for James with the quad not running. He ended the day with a DNF. #131 Didn't have those issues though. With another 2 hour race under his belt Keith finished 10th in the pro-am leaving him 10th in points also. It was a great weekend of racing in Anza CA and all the riders from our area did excellent. What a great time and congratulations to all the racers! Quadcross Rnd 3
Round 3 of Quadcross went off on May 9 at Rynoland in Anza, CA. With multiple tracks at the Rynoland venue, the track we raced on for this round left almost noting to be desired. With an excellent long tabletop jump that put the racers well up in the air to a nice long step up, whoops, doubles, rhythm, off camber turns, long sweepers, this track truly has it all. We had 4 racers there for this round that are members here and they put on a good show.
In the Pro Motos, James Rossi #917 had bike issues in moto 1 causing him to pull out of the race. With his backup bike down also #917 was done for the day. He still got half the race in and it was a great thing to see those pros hitting the big air.
In the Pro-Am class, we had Greg Smith #22 and Tanner Gemperle #93. In Moto 1, #22 came out of the hole in 2nd place holding that position for a few laps until rubbing tires with another rider in a turn causing him to lose position. He swapped back and forth for position on the step up but in Moto one he held for third. #93 on the other hand had a rough time on the step up, just a little mishap, causing him to lose many positions. After battling back a few places, he ended 10th in Moto 1.
In Moto 2 #22 got the holeshot and tried to run the race his way to the end. However it was not to be, with a stall in a turn causing him to be passed by a few riders, #22 ended the Moto in fourth giving him a 4th overall. #93 did better with a 9th in Moto two giving him 9th overall.
In the 450 Int. class, Ricky Renteria #9 had a great run for the day. Going 4th in both Moto one and Moto two, #9 held his position even when bumped to end up 7th overall out of 21 riders. Great show! Congratulations to all the racers who made the trip and Good luck in round 4! PERSPECTIVE
In the East, at the ATV PRO racing, they had 600 plus entries reported. That coupled with who knows how many spectators would make for an exciting event to participate in, weather a racer or a spectator. As you all know we live in the most populous state in the Nation and with that we not only sell but ride at the top of the list too. To race in the East, they draw from all the Eastern seaboard and beyond, to fill their ranks, even though there really is not that many people that practice, in any given area. They have local poker runs that draw 100 or more ATV racers to participate in these and most ride the utility, but they still participate. They also have the opportunity to practice at most, if not all venues that have a track. Our state is a little different. In our local big series for MX we had about 100 entries. With all the tracks available in the area, we seem to have an issue getting a little time to practice. With this state being one of the largest and highest in ATV sales, you would think we could get in. Look at your local ride area, and all the ATVs. Quite a few would probably love the opportunity to come to a track, all it takes is a place to practice. If you live near a track, go and talk to them, see if you can get them to bring us in, even on a rotation with the bikes or directly with the bikes. To help our sport grow, we need to entice the new riders.
